Yes, a prescription will be sent to your email address, and you can print it out at any convenience store in Japan or at the front desk of most hotels. In many cases, a prescription can also be sent directly to a nearby pharmacy (by LINE or a specific pharmacy app), so that you do not even have to print it out.
Consultations are by appointment only. To schedule an in-person appointment, please contact Dr Schlemper by email (ronald.schlemper@gmail.com).
The fee will be 9900 yen for a 15-minute consultation. In-person consultations outside of office hours or consultations lasting more than 30 minutes will be double the fee.
Japan's National Health Insurance (kokumin kenko hoken) or Employees’ Health Insurance (shakai hoken) cannot be used. Payment must be made in full at the time of your visit. The clinic will provide a receipt for private insurance reimbursement, specifying the procedures and diagnoses.

Yes, you can. Dr Schlemper can advise you on the specialist and the hospital best suited to your specific issue. The processing time (usually within 30 minutes) and fee (often 11000 yen) vary depending on the length of the referral letter.
Please do not use the clinic’s email address for general inquiries. For information requests, kindly book an online appointment instead.
International Clinic is needed not just because of the language barrier for visitors to Japan, but rather because of the cultural differences in the practice of medicine. As Dr Schlemper has worked as a specialist in Internal Medicine both in The Hague and Leiden (The Netherlands) and in Tokyo and Fukuoka (Japan), he is aware as to what kind of medical care is or isn’t suitable for patients from different cultures.
